In this episode, Boonie and guest KG discuss their favorite albums of 2023. This was a tough year for narrowing down favorite albums, especially in the hip-hop genre. We chat about our favorite songs from the year, including Tyrese's "Don't Think You Ever Loved Me," SZA's "Snooze," and Justin Bieber's "Moments." We also discuss Anais Cardot's "Colors," which we find joy and beauty in despite not understanding the French lyrics.
Boonie and KG chat about their favorite albums like No Name's "Sundial" and Summer Walker's "Clear 2," and personal picks such as October London's "Rebirth." Finally, we wrap up by chatting about Victoria Monet's album "Jaguar," appreciating its well-blended body of work from an artist who has been in the industry for a long time.
We wrap up the episode by chatting about Beyonce, Andre 3000, Usher, Taylor Swift, Ozempic, and 2024. Oh, and yes, Boonie still has hope that new music is coming from Rihanna.
